Somers Tuskers Booster Club

The mission of the Somers Tuskers Booster Club is to create a cohesive and balanced athletic experience for the student-athlete by working together collectively and collaboratively as an athletic family to encourage the personal best for all athletes.

Our organization and fundraising efforts support all boys and girls sports teams equally with purchases that enhance current and future programs.

Recent purchases include: weight room equipment, Gipper social media platform, portable scoreboards, scoring table and podium, portable sound system equipment, golf cart, a contribution to the new baseball dugouts, college signing day celebrations, hosting a field hockey tournament, tennis banners at Reis Park and the Turf 2 scoreboard. We have also contributed to the new mural above the Snack Shack and have installed brick patios near the football field to help enhance our campus.

The Club awards 4-5 $1,000 scholarships annually to SHS senior athletes annually. In order to be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, the student-athlete must be a two-year member of the Booster Club, with one of those years being senior year.

In addition, we award 3-4 "Impact Awards" which range from $250-$500 and are given to senior students or athletes who contribute to the athletic program. Candidates and recipients of these awards will be determined by the Booster Club Scholarship committee, all Varsity coaches, the Athletic Director and school administrators.
